Recently, I was deeply shocked to learn that North Korean soldiers have been deployed to Russia. The thought of the profound despair they must feel, trapped in such circumstances of oppression, weighs heavily on my mind.<\/p>\n
This issue is not merely a matter of political cooperation between nations. It is a tragedy where human dignity and rights are being trampled upon.<\/p>\n
North Korean soldiers are forcibly sent to participate in a foreign war, stripped of any choice in the decision. They are forced to comply with orders that imperil their lives, deprived of even the slightest opportunity to exercise their own agency.<\/p>\n
As fellow human beings, can we remain rightfully indifferent in the face of their suffering and oppression without questioning our own conscience? Those on the battlefield are not merely soldiers; they are someone\u2019s family, friends, and a life of immeasurable value.<\/p>\n
They, too, have the fundamental right to determine the trajectory of their futures.<\/p>\n
I have a dream to grow while pursuing the things I love and to build a life that is uniquely my own.<\/p>\n
Yet, this fundamental right is denied to North Korean soldiers. Their grim reality holding rifles on battlefields and living under the constant threat to their lives is unimaginably bleak. Forced deployment not only jeopardizes their safety but also strips them of the basic freedoms and rights that every human being should possess. It is imperative that this issue receives the attention it deserves.<\/p>\n
The situation in North Korea, where human lives are reduced to tools of political collaboration, stands in stark contrast to the peaceful world we aspire to create a world where individuals are not treated as expendable but are valued for their intrinsic worth and afforded the highest level of dignity.<\/p>\n
Human rights are not privileges granted by nations or systems; they are inherent from birth and must be upheld with the respect they deserve.<\/p>\n
As a member of this generation, I make an urgent appeal to the adults of today and our future selves.<\/p>\n
Peace is a universal right, one that demands collective effort to uphold. Ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to shape their own life requires a shift away from conflict and toward meaningful dialogue and cooperation. Only then can we prevent human lives from being exploited as tools for political ambition or power struggles.<\/p>\n
